KwaZulu-Natal Chemicals- a South African manufacturer of household cleaning agents such as dishwashing liquid, car shampoo and liquid detergent – decided that it needed to update its Premium Label Solutions systems in order to comply with the new packaging and Premium Label Solutions legislation.
KwaZulu-Natal Chemicals was manually applying labels and stickers displaying the date of manufacture to its range of cleaning solutions- a process that was cumbersome, time-consuming and left room for human error. Pyrotec PackMark offered the client an Aline C with a wrap-around unit, and at the end of the conveyer belt a Markem-Imaje 9020 small character continuous inkjet printer was installed to cover the client’s date coding requirements.
This enabled the client to streamline its production line through an automated, reliable and time-efficient process that negates the possibility of error. KwaZulu-Natal reported that it had enhanced its production capacity, reduced the associated labour costs and that it was impressed with the aesthetic appeal of the finished product.
